Thanks to some tight bowling and excellent fielding, Gidea Park restricted Hadleigh to 159 - 4 off their 45 overs. All the bowlers used bowled consistent lines and lengths and did not allow the Hadleigh batsmen any chance to get any momentum going.
Gidea Parks run chase got off to a shakey start with the loss of quick wickets leaving them 40 - 4. Greg Churchill and Steve Brant steadied the ship with a stand of 40 before Brant was caught for 16. With the loss of another quick wicket, Andrew Churchill joined his brother with 70 still required. They took Gidea Park to the brink of victory before Greg Churchill was bowled for an excellent 59. Andrew Churchill remained 44 not out as PArk reached theit target with just 4 balls to spare.
