Gidea Park & Romford Cricket Club Saturday 2nd XI v ARDLEIGH GREEN on Sat 13 May 2006 at 1.30pm
Match was Drawn

Match report Losing the toss in the first league game we were asked to Bat first on a damp Gallows wicket. Baker and Kullar got us off to a sound start before Kullarl was bowled for 19 after looking set. Baker and Lock then took control after 3 wickets fell quickly adding almost a hundred for the 5th wicket before Lock holed out to deep midwicket for 23. Baker went on to complete an excellent century whilst adding a further partnership of fifty with Steve Brant. Baker finally fell for 112 with Brant and Wall not out at the close on 28 and 2 respectively.

Park bowled and fielded well with Berry, Gordon and Olivier all in the wickets. Eight bowlers in all were used in a vain attempt to break the stubborn resistance shown from the Ardleigh Green batsman who looked as if they had settled for a draw after early park success with the ball removed the top four batsmen for 60.

Game eventually settled as a draw with Park taking the points honours.
