Match report The day was all about one man,
Shaker Ullah Wasiq.

After losing the toss, GPRCC were put into the field with a man down due to a delayed rail replacement bus. The track did look like it would do a little and an early drop catch was hopefully not a sign of things to come. Luckily, the next over Shaker took his first wicket and then hit a roll. Goresbrook were 20-7 when Gidea Parks 11th man turned with all them bowled out by Shaker. He then continued to take the last 3 with two catches and finally an lbw in his final over after a quick fire 25 from Goresbrook number 7 got them to 56.

GPRCC knocked off the runs in 12 overs only 1 down with Callum Mitcham finishing 27 not out and Phil Walker 16 not out.

It was an incredible feat from someone who has only been in the country 8 months in only his 4th game for the club having arrived from Afghanistan. It was a special day and something many of us will never witness again. Although the pitch was doing a bit, Shaker consistently hit the right length and areas bowling downhill with the wind behind him!

The club will be looking to mark the occasion with a presentation in the near future as it will be the best figures ever taken by a GPRCC bowler
