Gidea Park & Romford Cricket Club Under 15's v Hornchurch on Sun 22 Aug 2004 at 9.30am
Gidea Park & Romford Cricket Club Won 7 wickets

Match report Park put Hornchurch in and then produced one of their most accomplished victories of the season.

Skipper Jack Kilber opened the attack and returned excellent figures from his 4 overs of 2 wickets for just 9 runs. Edward Gavigan bowled with the pace we have come accustomed to but lacked some of the control we have seen earlier in the season. Stuart Harper Horn batted well for Hornchurch but the Park boys never panicked and good tight bowling in the middle and end innings saw Hornchurch restricted to 102.

The low total enabled Park to experiment with the batting order but it was left to Jack Kiliber and Matt Tarr who both have been magnificent for us all year in this competion( averaging 134 and 85.5 respectively) to puit on an unbeaten 81 stand for the 4th wicket which allowed us to canter to a good win with 3.5 balls left. A good effort boys and if we put in a good performance against Harold Wood next week we can retain the Havering League for the second year.
