Match report At last Park get off the amrk with a thrilling win against South Woodford. Asked to bat first South Woodford compiled 238 all out. Leigh Davey claiming 2 wickets early on leaving South Woodford at 112-4 at lunch. An inspired spell from Mel Hussain after lunch and some great catching by Park eventually saw their opposition bowled out for 238. Mel Hussain claiming 6-73 of fine accuracy. Khan 77 and Janujua 37 their main run contributors in a stand of 75 after lunch. Barry Hyam keeping up his fantastic form behind the stumps with 3 catches.
Park were soon in trouble losing Ahmed and Hussain with the score on 35. Andy Churchill and Barry Hyam then took the game by the scruff of the neck compliling a partnership of 141 in 30 overs. Andy was first to go bowled by the evr dangerous Janjua for 64. Hyam followed with out further addition for a fine 94 stumped. Leigh Davey and Luke Baker added 15 before Park stuttered and stumbled their way to 239. All contributing but it was experience and fitness off last 2 Richard Whatling and Ryam Sammons who clawed the last few runs, finishing with a scampered 2 leg byes off the last ball to seal victory.
