Match report Having been asked to field Park were soon in to the Westcliff line up. Waheed Khan picking up 2 early wickets in a fine spell in the end finishing with 2-20 from his 9 overs. Whilst Pratt and Bridman set about rebuilding, Parks tight bowling meant they could never gain too much momentum. In the end the pressure bought down Bridman bowled by Berry for 52. Wickets feel at regular intervals after as Westcliff sought a total. Churchill finishing with 3-38. Westcliff posted a score of 179-8. A target which Park thought was gettable on a slow but fine surface.
Anand Krishnan with a typically rapid 15 was out caught in the deep with the score at 33, and it was left to Hussain and Churchill to build a partnership of 81 in 15 overs before Mel was caught at deep mid wicket for a fine 42. Park werent to lose another wicket as the remaing 66 runs came off only 11 overs. Churchil 101 no and Dunthorne 12 seeing Park past the post with 13 overs to spare. Andy completing a fine century to seel the victory with another boundary. Andys century came in 77 balls containing 14 fours and 2 sixes and only 33 non scoring shots.
Park are away to Chingford in the next round
