Match report Upminster B won the toss and elected to field.

After losing Tom early to a good delivery, Alex and Alfie built a solid partnership based on responsible batting and some very good running between the wickets. With the new ball seen off both boys began to increase the run rate but eventually fell for 41 and 25 runs respectively. This left Sam with enough time to add further impetuous to the innings, hitting a quick cameo 38 runs and helping us reach 127 – 3 after 20 overs.

In reply, a young Upminster team struggled against the GPR bowling attack; all of whom bowled a nice line and length and were rewarded with excellent figures. The boys maintained a high energy in the field, with Charlie taking three fine catches to go with his two wickets. Wickets fell at regular intervals and despite the solid resistance of our own Henry Sessions (transferred to Upminster for the day!) Upminster finished their innings at 60 – 7.

An excellent performance by all the boys.
