Match report Park completed a comprehensive victory before tea winning by 9 wickets.
All round good bowling saw runs hard to come by combined with excellent fielding and catching. Ali Aslam continuing his fine form claiming 5-55 from 21 overs was the heart of Parks bowling. Ably assisted by Andy Churchill 13-7-14-1 produced a fine partnership with Ali at one stage together completing 22 overs 15 maidens 26 runs 4 wickets. Russ Collard claiming 2 wickets. Colchester were really struggling at 75-7 and then 108-9 at lunch. Some stubborn resistance from Young 47 not out helped Colchester to 156 all out just half hour after lunch.
Baker went in the 5th over for 5 caught in the slips off Morton but that was just the opportunity Harris Afirdi 73 not out of 52 balls and Barry Hyam 69 not out 75 balls needed to accelerate Park to victory in only 25 overs by a margin of 9 wickets.
