Match report After the disappointment of the league gane the day before Park needed to pick themselves up in this semi final against Brentwood . Having lost the toss Brentwood opted to bat on a dry wicket.Walford got them off to a great start scoring freely. Montgomery removed Larner bowled for 10 before Collard came in to the attack and immediately removed the dangerous Walford bowled for 30.Taylor went soon after LBW to Collard for 4 and then R.Walford was caught and bowled by Collard for 3 leaving Brentwood struggling at 76 -4 and giving Park the opportunity to turn the screw.Khan bowled a tight spell but Churchill and Hussaain controlled the final overs well picking up steady wickets and offering very little to score from.Jones completeeda half century before being brilliantly stumped by Redwod off Churchill for 57.Hussains peserverance was rewarded with 3 wickets for 40 by bowling straight and full. Chuirchill finishing with 2 for 30.
The target was never going to be easy but Montgomery promoted to pinch hitter did just that by scoring a rapid 20 before being bowled with the score at 33. Churchill and Hussain added 57 before Hussain was bowled by Belchamber for 38. Davey and Churchill added 37 before Davey was stumped after a delivery out of the dust off Burgess for 12.Needing 52 to win Collard joined Churchill. 8 was added before Churchill was to too stumped off Burgess. Collard and Whatlind added 23 before Whatling fell run out after a poor call by Collard which left him well out of his ground. Redwood and Collard saw Park to the final with 2 overs to spare.
