Match report Put in to bat on a wet wicket after early morning torrential rain Park batted really well with discipline. Hussain and Hyam building a steady partnership which was to blossom in to a stand of 249. HYam reached a great ton first with 16 4's and Hussain reached his a short while later 18 4's and 1 6. Park lost their first wicket in the 60 over. Churchill was on a hiding to nothing and was dismissed for 0 bowled by Dasai 3 overs later. Clarke fresh from his thrilling match winning for Essex at Colchester last week went to the crease in search of quick runs and caressed a rapid 23 before Collard declared the innnings closed at 277-3 from 63 overs.
Davey struck first having Geeson LBW and then the prize wicket of Dav Ghandi Indian international LBW the next over offering no shot in front off all three for 0.With Ghandi gone park had to eat away patiently at the rest of the order. Davey struck again before tea having Pavelling well caught by Hussain at long off from a skier to very poor shot. Score at tea of 41-3. Park came out in determined fashion and Collard removed Quershi for 48 brilliantly caught running back at mid wicket by Davey.94-4. Davey claimed the wicket of Fleming caught by Collard for 8.Dasai offered stubborn resisitance but Tibberman was next to go caught by Hyam for 6. Churchill removed Barker for 4 caught by Baker behind square. Overseas Leigh Davey completed his first ever 5 wicket haul by trapping Lowes LBW for another 0.Clarke then removed Waterhouse for 0 bowled by a yorker and after a few hefty swings from Harding Clarke finished the job bowling him for 4 to secure a valuable win for Park keeping them at the top by 13 points going into this weekend needing 8 points to claim the title.
