Match report On a steaming day at Loughton , the home side were asked to bat first. Montgomery made the early break through removing Carlier for 0 in the third over. Ferns went next to Davey and the home side were 23-2. THen a partnership of 159 between Ali and James saw Loughton to 158-2 at lunch.Montgomery and Davey bowled well after lunch but the oppo found the boundary with the statutary bad ball from each over.James was at last run out by Davey for 103 and Park slowly made a way in to the batters, Ali went shortly after by Anand off Montgomery for 71. Kazmi added a fine 60 before Hussain caught him off Davey. Loughtons run rate slowed down and they batted on to reach 273-8.
Park with a minimum of 56 overs back were soon in trouble losing Anand for 1. Redwood went straight after tea for 12. Andy and Mel stabalised the ship and added 44 before Hussain was out trying to force the pace caught at long on for 23. Collard joined Churchill before Andy was caught for 45 in similar vain as Hussain. Collard and Davey attempted to cahse the ever increasing run rate but Davey went for 20 caught behind. Collard went on to score 75 before falling leg before to James. THe run rate finally got to much for Park as they lost a couple more cheap wickets before Greg Churchill 8 not out and Luke Baker 15 not out saw Park to another batting point. Points finishing 9-10 to Loughton
