Park bowled out South Woodford for 217 in the 63rd over. South Woodford came out with the clear intentions to put the runs on the board quickly. Butt falling to South Australian Rhett Fielke for 31, following Butts dismissal Park took control as the runs dried up with disciplined bowling and a keenness in the field that meant South Woodford had to battle for every run. Akram went next on 32 trapped LBW again by Fielke. Waheed Khan then got a deserved wicket of Aktar cleaned bowled for 1.Nico went next bowled by Collard for a pedestrain 21 and Churchill then had Ahmed caught and bowled to leave South Woodford struggling on 126-5 at lunch. Richard Brown made 24 before being brilliantly caught by Hyam off Fielke. Waheed removed captain Saeed for 0 LBW and then had mainstay Khan well caught by Goldstone for 71.Ryan Sammons returned to the attack and deservedly got the reward for a great spell of pace bowling by clean bowling Akbar for 26 and then removing last man Lancaster well caught again by Hyam for 2. South Woodford bowled out at Gallows for 217.
Park could not have wished for a better start. Barry Hyam and Luke Baker batted superbly and took the game to their oppo with great stroke play and running. At tea Park were fantastically placed on 91-0. Hyam was out just after tea for a fine 38 caught by Nico off Lancaster. Aktar removed Andy Churchill, bowling him for 4. Leigh Davey and Chris Collier continued their fine start to the season and built a solid partnership of 69 taking Park to a stone throw of victory. In fading light and the glare of the pavillion lights Davey was caught at mid wicket for a fine 40 of off the bowling of Akbar. Chris Collier finishing on 38 not out and Russ Collard not out on 23 saw Park home in a great victory to claim a deserved 20 points.
