The return of Leigh Davey removed the always dangerous Diwan bowling him for 17.Kandola and Malik took Ilford to lunch at 121-3. Andy Churchill producing a magnificently controlled spell of bowling producing 21 overs for only 31 runs. Although wicketless his bowling partnership with Phil Goldstone reduced Ilford to almost shot less proportions. Parks fielding measured up to the asked standards and the pressure created by the bowlers was rewarded with fine catches by Leigh Davey, Rhett Fielke and Waheed Khan. Phil Goldstone returning figures of 2-26 and Waheed Khan returning to take 3-31 made sure Ilford finished on a low 189-8 off their 66 overs.
Needing a steady start Park lost Russ Collard out caught behind fo 12 with the total on 36. A fine partnership of 60 between Luke Baker and Andy Churchill was broke when Andy was out for 43. Luke followed soon after for a fine 31. Chris Collier and Rhette Fielke then produced a fine partnership of 65 before Rhett was run out for 31. Chris showing great maturity and growing confidence allowed partnerships to florish around him and slowly Park worked their way to victory. Greg Churchill was caught behind for 2 before Leigh Davey 18 not out and Chris Collier 37 not out saw Park home for a well deserved victory. A fine all round team success where everybody had an imput.
