Gidea Park & Romford Cricket Club

Although the matches at Gallows Corner had to be called off on Saturday the 21st due to the heavy rain on Friday, the 4ths and 5ths both managed games at Harlow Town and against Hutton at Old Chigwellians respectively, the 4ths drawing and the 5ths winning. On Sunday it was apleasure watching the Under 21s playing at the attractive Holmesdale ground in Sevenoaks where they won by 9 wickets with a good all round bowling display and excellent batting at the top of the order from Jamal Francis and Matt Brett. It was nice to get in some cricket! But we have a lot of work to do at Gallows this week to make the ground fit for next weekend, and thanks to Luke Baker and Chris Collier and others who put in a shift at Gallows on Saturday!
