Match report With nothing to play for GPRCC set about having some fun at Old Parks, who needed to win and hope for other results to avoid the drop.

So having lost the toss the Old Parks skipper made his day much harder by putting us into bat. Regular number 11 Dave Cobil opened the batting for the first time in his GPR career (of many decades). Alongside him regular number 10 Kier Smith. First ball smashed back over bowlers head and four! 22-0 of 3 overs (better than normal openers).

Cobs fell for 8, Kier made 57!! The rest of us picked numbers out of a pint glass to decide the order. Abdul picked up his size 5 bat at number 3, James Pegram 4 Adam Mckie 5, Adam require 11 off the last over for a 100, he got 8 of them to fall short on 96*. Chris Mckie smashed a quick 50 whilst their dad sat on the boundary gambling on a run out. HArry came faced a ball and left again, MAtty Brett smashed a few quick runs, before falling and Aaron stood at the non strikers end for the last three balls. Having picked out number 11 the skipper did not bat.

Tea was good, Abdul talked alot for a very small person.

Aaron and Harry opened up but Aaron found a pitch that didn't help his bowling, Harry's short of a length stuff looked menacing. First change saw the skipper bowl. Now I have a habit of injurying myself in the last game of the season and this year proved no exception, torn shoulder muscle in the last of my four overs, diazapan and diclofenic work marvels.

The next hour i can't tell you about, as i was recievieng some first aid! Abdul bowling for somewhere beneath stump hieght took five wickets, completeing the 5 for with the last ball of the game.

A good season, most enjoyable thanks to all that helped it was greatly appreciated!
