Match report Gidea Park suffered their first loss of the season.
Loughton won the toss and asked Gidea Park to bat first. After the loss of Collier to the third ball of the innings, Park made steady if unspectacular progress to the total of 213-8. Jeff Thomas top scored with an excellent 77, with useful contributions from Capp (31), Kulasena (24) and Brant (30 not out).
Park made the task of defending their total virtually impossible with clumbsy fielding and 5-6 dropped catches. The bowlers toiled away in difficult drizzly conditions, but without the support of the fielders, Loughton were always ahead of the game.
Park managed to hang on to second in the league.
