Match report Park lost the toss and were asked to bat in the first round of 50/50 over Premier Competition.
Early success for Chelmsford saw Court dismiss Choudhary for 0 with a steepling delivery caught at the wicket. Aslam and Collard added 56 before Collard fell LBW to Hayto for 15. Aslam dominated the Park total with a fine 90 well supported by Goswami 28, Moazzim 21 and extras weighed in with 41 setting Park on their way to 236 all out. Rob Hayto 3-39 and Paul Court 3-55 the pick of Chelmsford bowling. Park thought their total was a little shy of a decent total.
Park showed a far more disciplined bowling performance. Sean Kingston removed skipper Jones with a fine delivery being bowled for 5. Hammond showed solid resistance compiling 71 but no one else could withstand the stranglehold the Park bowlers produced. Kingston and Miller removing the next 4 batsman reducing Chelmsford to 55-5. Aslam and both Ejaz 1-18 and Waheed 1-36 tightened the screw and the Chelmsford innings fell. Hammond being dismissed for 71 by Ejaz and Ali Aslam picking up 2-43. A very tidy game from Tauseef Shazhad behind the stumps was the pick of the Park fielders. Chelmsford finally being dismissed for 150 in the 41 over giving Park a victory by 86 runs.
