Match report Tough opener for the home side in cold, inclement weather that threatened to spoil the game with a possible abandonment. However, rain held off till stumps were drawn and in a game played in good spirits (players and parents) highlights were the two opposing opening batsmen, both George Milton-White and Aditya respectively scoring 12 and sharing 3 boundaries, whilst Faizan recorded 2 overs, 1 maiden, 3 for 1 in an impressive display for the visitors.
Ilford were always in control of the game as GPRCC looked as if they needed this opening outing but there were signs of improvement towards the end of the match and just like last year, the home side are expected to improve from this sighter.
Fielding was a strength of the Main Road players in 2018 and that showed up again today , whilst Ilford's bowling is certainly to be feared by future opposition.

A nice opener to the season.
