Match report Benfleet batted first and the Gidea Park boys tried hard to keep the more experienced Benfleet boys within range but a score of 205 on a slow wicket was always going to be tough. Park used 9 bowlers with only the keeper and the skipper not bowling. All 9 bowlers were colts and they did well to stick to their task against an experienced Benfleet side. Pick of the bowlers were Tom Kershaw(2-24 off 7) and Adam Locke (1-15 off 7).

All the GPR top order got a start and looked comfortable but still failed to make a serious impression. Tom Kershaw and Adam Locke both looked accomplished but they need to turn these flattering performances into big scores if the 3's are to threaten to Win any games this year.

There was a bit of a thrash at the end but Park got no-where near the score but almost held out for a draw with some fine reaguard action from 10 and 11 Mark D'cruz and Danny Coombe.

A desreved victory for Benfleet in the end. We will be looking to try and get more senior playes for next weeks game.
