Match report With Ramesh and Bezza taking 2 wickets apiece Brentwood were in early trouble at 38 for 4. A stand of 168 between skipper Townson and Larner totally shifted the balance Townson scoring 73 and Larner going on to complete exactly 100 not out at the end of 52 overs with the home side reaching 234 for 7.
In reply things were going well and at 94 for 1 with Waqash hitting a typically belligerent 53 and with plenty of time remaining we looked favourites to win the match. Three wickets then fell for the addition of only 3 runs and our backs were to the wall. Ramesh batted well to score a stylish 40 but he was the only batsman to master the leg spin bowling of Gulrajani. He finished with 5 for 72 as Park were bowled out for a lowly 174 with 10 balls remaining. Disappointing again.
