Match report Ask to bat first on a very slow wicket Park established a steady opening partnership between Barry and Mel of 60 before Barry was out caught at Mid off off of Laird for 28. Andy and Mel built on the good work adding a partnership of 58 before Mel was bowled by Laird for an accomplished 55. Andy continued his now accoustomed fine form, picking up from where he left off last year. He was helped by debutant Wakash Ahmed and between them adding 124 for the 3rd wicket in only 24 overs. Andy was bowled by Sawar five short of his ton. Andy Clarke was bowled first ball and James Redwood added 4 before Wakash also completed his 50. Park declaring on 257-5 from 62 overs. Terry Laird finishing the pick of the Lougton bowlers 21 overs 2 for 83.
Loughton had a minimum of 58 overs to chase down the total. They lost Sri Lankan Tharanga early caught by Waheed off Clarke for 1. A steady partnership by Carlier and Ferns of 58 before Ferns went for 33, Carleir soon followed dismissed by Hussain for 37. Steady bowling from all bowlers including Richard Wall, saw Park control the game and on a ever increasingly slow and low pitch the straight ball was the winner with 3 LBWs. Hussain finishing with 3-56 . A couple of late wickets saw Park have a chance of victory but it was not to be.
