Match report The guys done very very well today against a well drilled and older Upminster side.

We batted first and our guys demonstrated some good basics in positioning and game awareness. We scored 219 and it was a vast improvement on last week against better bowling. We gave away at least 3-4 wickets as people stood outside of the crease, were stumped or run out. Something to work on.

Where again we let ourselves down was in our bowling and fielding. We threw down 35 wides (and that could have been a lot more without leniency) however Emily and Felix took a wicket each so a vast improvement there. Upminster scored 326, and therefore a loss of 107 runs.

One of the things we need to work on is the concentration in fielding and we have to drill into the kids the importance in focusing in watching the ball while it is in play, as we had a few near misses (and one hit!!)
