Match report Park took to the field with 1 U13, 5 U14s, 1 U15 and 4 Old blokes who should have known better!!It was an awful cold and windy day and the youngsters stuck to the task against a Benfleet side who scored 226 with the help of two centurians. Poor young Danny Coombe who was helping out the opposition therefore had his pads on for the best part of two & a half hours without getting a bat. Danny made Park pay for this by taking the wicket of his long time coach Les Hall for a duck. Park played for the draw from the start and there were good solid performances from Tom Bassett, Andrew D'cruz and Jason Toogood who all scored runs and occupied the crease. Shaz Helum top scored with a chancy 24 and won himself a tenner for getting more than 10 runs. Biggest cheer of the day went up when Shaz got to 11 runs!!! In the end Skipper Monty and Keeper D'cruz stone-walled for a draw which the boys well deserved for their efforts in the field.
