Gidea Park & Romford Cricket Club Sunday 2nd X1 v Dartfordians on Sun 02 Jun 2002 at 2pm
Gidea Park & Romford Cricket Club Lost 7 wickets

Match report Park batted first and were soon in trouble as they lost 4 wickets for 37 off 13 Overs. Chris Goldsmith and Andy D'cruz(aged 14)then put on 166 for the 5th wicket!!! Chris bludgeoned the attack all over the ground to score his maiden century for the club( 11 4's and a six). Andy accumulated the runs more slowly but still hit some beautiful fours particulary driving past the bowler(8 fours) and made his first 50 for the club. Well done to both of you chaps!

When Dartfordians batted they got safley started despite great bowling from Jason Toogood(aged 13) and Criag Bray (aged 14). Both boys had difficult chances put down. Ths Dartfordian openers thrived after that and despite a good spell from Adam Bruckshaw pressed on relentlessly to their target. Andy D'cruz came on to get a couple of late wickets and Roger Boothby chipped in with a wicket as well but it was too little too late. Never mind a good friendly match played in the right spiirt!!! Well done ALL
