Match report A bad day when Park bowled poorly and a dull and difficult wicket to bat on when the ball was put in the right place.Collard a fine opening spell of 13 runs off 7 overs did its best to stem the runs from the other end where 57 came from the same amount of overs.Mel Hussain picking up 5-37 equally supported by Luke Sweeney and Andy Chuchill Park clawed their way back in to the match and a target of 227 was always going to be testing.
Shenfield bowled well from the off and whilst losing Davis for 3 Husssain and Churchill went about rebuilding and slowly with sensible batting and running got down to 4 an oover required until Hussain was well caught behind by youngster Pryer who had a fine game behind the stumps.Collard joined Churchill and added 90 in 16 overs to give Park a great chance of victory but then R.Wicks stepped in and ruined it all.Churchill went for 71 and Collard follwed shortly after bowled by Webber looking to keep the momemtum going.
Park then lost their 7 wickets for only 30 runs with an over to spare.
Overall apoor performance in a cup which last year offered so much promise !
