Match report Asked to bat on a damp track track GPRCCs young order collapsed to 57 for 5 in 21 overs, a helpful wicket and some accurate bowling accounted for the top order. At wich point the two oldest players found themslves at the wicket and 130 runs in 25 overs had put the 5th team back in the hunt for a victory. The last 6 overs accounted for an additional 54 runs for the 5th team highest score in league cricket.

The GPRCC bowlers toiled at the start of the innings with all short deliveries sitting up and being depatched by the Brentwood batting, but this also accounted for the wicktes with the agressive batting also accounting for some mistimed shots and with 22 over gone they where 98 for 5 with the last 20 to play. We have played through the showers and now the bowling was on top, the run rate slowed and we where now able to attack with a 7 - 2 field for 14 year old Sam Hewitt to bowl too. We had 2 overs at the last pair but could not make the break through. A great fielding performance to stop the free flowing runs and to get on top, especially Sam Davies who took 3 catches, not all straigh forward.
