Match report A convincing win for Gidea Park.
Gidea Park and Romdord won the toss and asked Buckhurst Hill to bat first. Hill never really recovered from the loss of two very early wickets during a fine opening spell from Ryan Sammons. Gidea Parks bowling was tight throughout and wickets fell a regular intervals. Buckhurst Hill sruggled to 172 all out a sub par score on an excellent wicket with a fast outfield.
Parks new opening partnership of Jeff Thomas and Brijesh Patel built an excellent century partnership before Thomas was caught for 40. Evans joined Patel and took Park to within two runs of victory before Patel unfortunately fell four short of what would have been a well deserved century. The two remaining runs came courtesy of wides, and a comfortable victory was completed withmore than 10 overs to spare.
