Match report Unfortunately the result looks like a heavy defeat but given the age and lack of experience Gidea Park and Romford u13's played really well and continue to show improvement.
Upminster played really well and applied themselves very well with the bat scoring off the non boundary balls running very well between the wickets. Using their strength age and experience to score consistently. 4 batsman retiring with scores over 25. All the Park bowlers bowled well with Arun Bhargava being the pick of the bowlers with 1-22 from his 4 overs.All other bowlers continue to develop and are bowling with more control and experience. Alfie Williams captained well and learns all the time with his field placings.
Chasing down 160 Park were always behind the rate but fine innings from young Tom Peckett retiring not out on 25 shows why he has such a great potential. Batting really well and showing a keen eye for the ball and placement.
Charlie Watts also made a great contribution finishing not out on 18.
The young lads continue to improve in all departments and as the summer develops i hope so do the lads skills and experience.
