Match report Skipper Phil Goldstone won the toss and batted first. Park then amassed a massive 242 for 6 off their 40 overs. The innings was built around a fine century by Opener Chris Collier. Park put on 56 for the first wicket befor Opener Andy D'cruz departed for a solid 13. Opener Collier was then joined by skipper Goldstone for a brilliant stand of 113 runs. Both players played fine strokes but also ran splendidly between the wickets before Phil Goldstone was out for a fine 43. Chris Collier completed his ton which featured 10 fours and was eventually out for 112 and failed by just 5 overs to carry his bat through the innings. Fantastic effort Chris, Well done! The Park innings lost a bit of momentum at that stage but good batting from Matt Hiscock(14) and Jason Toogood(13 no) ensured Park's total reached 242.

Benfleet's reply never really got going as Micheal Moonie ripped through the top order taking 3 wickets in four overs for just 9 runs. Moonie was well supported by Ryan Sammons and legspinner Gary Coombe who both took 2 wickets. Jon Roberts, Phil Goldstone and Jason Toogood also picked up wickets as none of Benfleets batsman reached double figures. Park gave away 41 extras in 28 overs... a luxury we will not be able to afford in other matches.

Overall an emphatic victory well done boys!!
