Gidea Park & Romford Cricket Club Saturday 3rd XI v Walthamstow on Sat 27 Apr 2002 at 2.00pm
Gidea Park & Romford Cricket Club Lost by 7 wickets

Match report A disapointing display by Park although it was good to get a decent warm up game in before the season starts in earnest. 142 runs were never enough and although Collier and Burch made good starts they were unable to go on and make a big score. New All-rounder Kier Smith weighed in at the end with 27no before running out of partners.
There were some good efforts on the bowling front but without real penetration. An excellent knock of 85no by Walthamstow opener Gunby saw them home quite comfortably. Ian Gordon & Mark Windebank bowled well in their first outing of the summer. Michael Moonie deserved a wicket for the way he stuck at it. This day will be remembered most as the day Cobblers got one to turn. Wicketkeeper D'cruz was best placed to see it and was sure that it happened. The rest of the lads refused to believe it!!
