Match report A really good performance from all. GPR were asked to field in very hot conditions, and a very tight opening spell from Chouhan got Basildon off to a slow start, though wickets were hard to come by. Tight spin bowling from Collier, Rana and Alaracu kept on the pressure, and 14 year old Josh Turner also bowled well and fast. Basildon extended their innings to 65 overs; the team doing well to stay focused despite spending 3 hours and 40 minutes in the sun.

We were set 201 to win in 50 minutes place the minimum 20 overs and it was a great effort to get over the line with almost 4 overs to spare.

Alaracu got us off to a flyer with a quick fire 70, though his dismissal prompted a wobble in which 4 wickets were lost for 17 runs in 6 overs. That set the stage for James Patient to see us home with a super 55 not out, including 2 all run 4's, that sapped the energy.

A pleasing win!
