Match report Park lost the toss and were inserted by a thus far unbeaten Stanford side and struggled for runs early on against some tight bowling which made the most of the initial damp conditions. However a score of 70 for 2 (Faizan Rana 28, George rogers 26) after 26 overs was rapidly changed in the second half of the innings as everyone contributed, with Chay Hedges on his debut scoring 56 after an early life, Abid Alaracu 27, Peter collier 23.A final declaration at 234 for 7 was an excellent effort in the circumstances. In reply Stanford quickly lost a wicket but then Barker really hit out for a rapid 82 as they added 101 for the 2nd wicket, followed by 65 for the 3rd wicket as Ellis chipped in with 67. the wheels started to come off at this point as the Park slow bowlers made inroads, Peter collier 3 for 60 and Faizan 2 for 59, and a clutch of wickets fell before Stanford squeezed home by 3 wickets. Excellent game on a good surface and very good effort by Park.
