Match report Gidea Park and Romford lost the toss for the 2nd week running and were once
again asked to bat.

Park got off to a positive start with skipper Collier scoring a swift 43 (36
Balls) before being trapped in front LBW. Hewitt and Tarr continued the good
work seeing park through to 99-1 after 20 overs. The introduction of spinners
slowed the run rate considerably and wickets started to tumble as Park tried to
up the scoring. Park eventually finished 172-6 from their 45 overs. Messenger
finishing with 3 wickets for Goresbrook.

The Goresbrook innings started watchfully with Hewitt bowling good areas and
pace picking up an early wicket. With the score 41-1 after 10 overs it was very
much game on. Once again the turning point was the introduction of spin. Spin
twins Collard and Mckie quickly removed the Goresbrook middle order with
accurate economical bowling with Hewitt coming back to remove the tail finishing with figures of 4-17. Goresbrook 104ao.
