Match report Park's league opposition scratched but we were able to obtain a frindly game against Woodford Wells 5th at Chigwell School. In and out of the showers the pitch played well and having chosen to bat Park batted with a great deal of inconsistency, good shots followed by getting out! Salim Patel played well throughout for 51 and was last man out, and there were double figures for Ian Greenwood (10) and Sachin Gupte(16). For the Wells Tembey took 4 for 12 from 6 overs but all the bowlers performed reasonably well. A total of 116 was well below par for the conditions but Park had success in the first over of the reply. Thereafter Roy-Mukerjee slogged 59 in a free and easy style in a 2nd wicket stand of 79 which effectively won the game. Park took two more wickets but an assured 27 not out by Joe Hall saw the Wells home in persistent rain. there were some positives to take from the fielding display with a good steady spell of medium pace from debutant colt Harry Rogers and Sachin Gupte (rather older but also making his debut!) bowled well to take 2 for 15. nice to be able to complete a game as the rain again wrecked much of the other club programme.
