Gidea Park & Romford Cricket Club Saturday 3rd XI v Brentwood on Sat 03 May 2003 at 2pm
Gidea Park & Romford Cricket Club Won

Match report Park lost the toss & were asked to bat first by Brentwood, on a damp wicket Andrew D'Cruz was bowled first ball. This bought the in form Matt Burch to the crease. He along with Keith Wright put on 136 for the second wicket before Wright(59) was caught at mid-off. Burch was dismissed not long after for an impressive 80, which included twelve 4's and a six. Some wayward bowling from Brentwood & a quickfire 28 not out from Andy Jenner allowed Park to delcare on 207 for 5 in 45 overs.

Brentwood's reply got off to a bad start, they lost early wickets to the impressive opening partnership of Charl Du Preez & Keir Smith. Both the opening bowlers took three wickets. Vetaran Andy Jenner also chipped in with 3 wickets & but for some impressive strokeplay from David Childs(47 Not Out) Brentwood would have strugled to reach 50. The last wicket fell to DuPreez, who bowled McCallum with plenty of overs remaining to wrap up a comprehensive victory for Park.
