GPRCC won by 7 wickets

A very convincing win against a weak Harold Wood side with 'Park' on top from start (Harry bowling the opening bat with the 1st ball of the game) to finish (knocking off the runs with 5 overs to spare).

Just about everyone had a part to play with 5 of the 7 bowlers used taking a wicket and all of the batsmen getting runs on the board. Charlie Haddon was probably the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets to his name, closely followed by Harry and Sachin who picked up 2 each, with Sachin's pair including the wicket of 'Wood's' top scorer. Just goes to show what bowling straight can do as 8 of the 10 wickets to fall were clean bowled.

All of the batsman looked comfortable with double figures reached by George Earle with a fluent knock of 11 and Elliot Ross with a power packed cameo for 14.

A good all round performance and great to notch the first win of the season.

The quality goes up a notch or two next weekend with an away game against High Roding CC in the latest round of the Peter Coe Cup group stage - team to be selected/ confirmed at training on Friday evening.
