Match report Carnage!!!!

Early opportunities were missed and then we were murdered on a hot day. I thought the boys tried hard but they were so far off the game it was help yourself time for the Colchester batsman. A hard hard 40 overs in the field the boys looked pleased to get off in the end.

The batting was not a lot better. From the moment Andy D'cruz played on it was just a procession of batsman. I asked that nobody threw their wickets away and they all tried hard but good bowling and fielding had us struggling and it looked like we were going to be bowled out for less than 40. A last wicket stand of 58 got us off the hook with Adam Locke leading the way with 27 not out with some smashing drives and Ravi digging in and showing some guts until he was out for 19.

Learning opportunites:
Turn up on time and prepare properly. We want you there at 12.30 so that we can get the ground ready and do some proper practice. If the coaches are giving up the time the least the players can do is to do the same
