Match report GPRCC were put into bat and got off to a steady start with openers Craig Bray and Andy D'cruz putting on 39 for the first wicket. Chris Swaniland kept the score moving on nicely until Andy D'cruz was run out for 34. Chris was then joined by skipper Ryan Sammons who attacked almost from the word go and struck a fine top score of 39. Chris Swainland eventually was dismissed for 25 and Adam Lock steered the team to the close of te innings with a fine 14. GPRCC had 4 run-outs which will have to be improved upon as the season progresses.

Jason Toogood and Adam Locke ensured that Bishops Stortford had to fight for every run. In the process Adam Locke bowled 5 overs for 12 runs of which only 6 were off the bat!!!. Bishops Stortford looked like they were getting away but were pinned back by leg spinners Gary Coombe and Andy D'cruz. Gary Coombe was particlary stingy going for just 19 runs off his 8 overs. Bishops Storford accelated in the end to get home with just 17 balls left.

It was a tough game for GPRCC fielding just two U16s in what is a U16 competition but they stuck at it well and will do better as the tournament progresses
