Having loss the toss on what looked to be a decent batting wicket and short boundaries Park were sent to the dirt. Holmesdale batted cautiously throughout and never really got going in the face of good bowling and fielding with the exception of a couple of lusty blows. 149-6 was well short of what was required. 2 wickets for Hughes and one a piece for Carver, Gray and Mckie.

Park started positively putting on 88 for the first wicket, Francis the only man to fall for a stylish 44. Brett (54*) and Tarr (32*) finshed the job in 29.2 overs.
