Match report Park had 9 players for this final game of the 5ths season and came off worst against Hainault 6th. The visitors batted first and opener choudhry belied his 6th XI status too play a very good innings withj some powerful drives and he retired after a chanceless innings of 106 just before the declaratrion came at 226 for 6. his fellow opener F Choudhry scored 34 and T Chaudhry 35 to keep it in the family. Ian Greenwood bolwed with his customary skill to take 2 for 39 and for the predominantly young Park attack Harry Rogers kept his nerve well during the onslaught to take 1 for 40 from 8 overs; Danny Long took the other wicket. In reply Park were left a maximum of 31 overs and after losing an early wicket Ian Greenwood and Ben williams had a real go to take the score to 94 for 1 at the start of the last hour. Both fell in quick succession, Ian for 44 and Ben for 19. 6 wikcets fell for 15 runs before Andy Jenner hit an assured 21 before being yorked and Ron Martin scored 13 not out as the home side were all out for 141 with 7 overs left, some wayward bowling contributing no less than 33 extras! good to finissh the season on a fine day with good conditions. thanks to all the playuers who turned out this year for the 5ths for what was generally an enjoyable and successful league season.
