Match report It was simply a pleasure to actually be able to play on a fine and warm afternoon after all the recent dismal weather and the two sides produced a well contested and enjoyable match. Park won the toss and batted first on a pitch with a bit in it with a slow outfield, and had a bright start before Joshua Bough removed both openers in a good spell with the new ball, the in-form Chris Lamb for 12 and a bright knock of 24 from George Bryant. A stunning boundary catch did for Terike Mitchell and Salim Patel was LBW, but runs were coming and Raja Tariq (7 fours, 2 sixes, and out to another stunning boundary catch) was assisted by debutant David Goff (11) and Danny Long (19) to take the score to a declaration at 158 for 7. Bough took 3 for 50 and Frame 3 for 41. Hutton began solidly but Harry Thompson made the breakthrough thanks to a well judged catch by Charlie Haddon, and Raja Tariq took two quick wickets. Clive Francis (25) batted well with Cameron Schultz (23)to take the score to 67 but then holed out in the covers off Danny Long, and Danny then proceeded to work his way through the order, brief resistance from Paresh Suchak(20), to record remarkable figures of 7 overs 6 wickets for 18, his best for the club in his first game of the season! Hutton were all out 115 with 8 overs of the last hour remaining. The Park catching was sound, yound debutants Charlie Haddon took two catches and bowled a steady spell and David Goff fielded well to go with his batting. A good all round display!
