Match report Having been put into bat Park lost 3 early wickets on a seaming wicket.Sweeney 0 , Davis 11 and Churchill19.Hussain and Collard added 203 for the next wicket, Hussain 113 and Collard 103 not out. Total of 275-4 in there 66 overs .
Colchester struggled after the early loss of Ivylich for 21. Flanagan batted for along while for his 50 and Rodda completed a hard hitting 59.Darren and Luke both produced fine tidy spells of leg spin with out much luck.Winnie toiled away and bowled well without any real threat from Flanigan to attack him or attempt to accelerate the scoring rate.
Park tried hard to muster wickets with attacking fields on a good batting wicket and large outfield to 40 overs of spin with attacking fields.
Unfortunately there were different game plans and Colchester struggled to formulate one to get many batting points.
It was a game hard fought a poor outcome unfortunately.
Perhaps a little more thought should have been given to the 6.00am report Monday morning.Sorry guys.
