Match report On the day of England versus Denmark play still started promptly at 1.30pm in this local derby. Upminster won the toss and elected to bat on a green pitch. Both WINMILL and SINGH bowled well reducing the home side to 37 for five. Having bowled 12 overs 2 for 15 Winmill injured a hamstring and was replaced by leg spinner Darren BATCH. This then saw spinners come on at both ends and although they all bowled well some hard hitting by the Upminster tailenders saw the home side go to 140 for 9 after 52 overs.GP&R got of to a solid start and a good foundation was laid by ADAMS and BATCH who put on 36 for the first wicket and although a couple of wickets fell Greg CHURCHILLat number 4 led us to victory with a solid and sensible 55 not out and 11 overs still to go.
