1st Toss of the season won by Gordo who inserted the Wells.

Wells went onto score 327 for 7 dec off their 52 overs (Innings finished at 4.30!!!) Veteran off spinner Les Collard being the pick of Parks bowlers with 4 - 69. The other veteran of the side did not go quite as well as Andy Jenner returned figures of 2 for 146. Snapper Hall playing as makeshift wicket keeper managed to snuffle 3 catches behind the sticks.

Parks reply started positively which is more than you can be said for the Wells field as they opened up with 2 seemers bowling to 1 slip and a gulley. Park lost Trayler for 22 playing on off his right boot and Collier for 37 holing out to deep extra cover on the boundary. Unfortunately any realistic chance of Park getting close to the total diminished with these dismissals given the time that was available.

A fine knock from James Evans 88 not out (12x4 & 1x6) 43 from Ian Gordon (7x4 & 1x6) and 24 from Pun Satsangi enabled park to gain maximum batting points which was all that could be gained given the circumstances and Park finished on 230 for 4 off of 48 overs.

It was dissapointing to play in a game whereby the opponents sole intension was not to lose the game and this unfortunately got in the way of what could have been a very close and entertaining game.
