Match report Gidea Park and Romford strolled to an easy victory defeating Fives by 7 wickets.

Batting first Fives got off to a flying start but fine bowling by Parks 3 spinners saw them take back control. Richard Wall 2 wickets Chris Swainland 1 wicket and a fine spell by Phil Goldstone of 2-14 from his 8 overs saw Fives limited to 195-8 from their alloted 40 overs. Lloyd 34 and Becket 32 were the main contriburtors for Fives with Russ Collard chipping in with 2 wickets also.

Park lost Greg Churchill to a fine catch behind the wicket for 2 early on, but Matt Tarr and James Lock set about rebuilding and taking total control with a fine partnership of 130 to put the game firmly out of the Fives bowlers. Both lost their wicket towards the end. Matt Tarr caught for a fine 58 and James Lock run out for a commanding 86. Ryan Sammons played a wonderful cameo with a fine 24 not out and saw Park home with skipper Phil Goldstone 3 not out for a 7 wicket victory.
