Match report Park on winning the toss put Ardleigh Green into bat and after a steady start, losing only one early wicket, they increased the run rate so that at one point reached 151-3. Debutant in the 3's Zee Gohan bowled steadily and picked up 3 wickets in 2 spells spanniong 20 overs. As usual Paul Winmill was difficult to get away and tied things down at one end while John Roberts grabbed 4 wickets for the 2nd week in a row. Making steady inroads into the Green batting left them at 202-7 at the end of 52 overs for which Park felt confident of chasing down. However, things do not always go to plan with the top order being shot away by Hills leaving Park in a difficult position of 43-6 and no sign of the Green attack relenting. But to the rescue came Waleed Wain 39 n.o. John Roberts 21 and an invalueable 45 from Marc Lloyd. In trying to get to 50 in the last over and also an extra batting point their skipper John Coxall dismiissed him and also restricted Park to finish on 149-9 with Winmill blocking the last ball.
Not a pretty game to take part in, but afgter being on the end of these type of games, so many times, quite satifying to gain a draw.
