Match report Park beat local rivals Ardleigh Green by 4 wickets in an exciting finish.

Asked to bat first Ardleigh Green were soon in trouble losing their openers lbw to Collard. Park bowled with fine control and the fielding was excellent in very warm conditions.Glasberg also went to Collard for 1 caught by Goldstone. Churchill had Smith caught behind by Swainland for 33. Phil Goldstone removed Krishnan just before lunch brilliantly caught by Andy Berry leaving Green on 130-5 at lunch. Liam Ferns made a fine 75 before being bowled by Berry and with Hopper adding 28 before being bowled by Collard were the main contributors after lunch. Phil Goldstone produced a fine spell of bowling finishing with 3-55 from 14 overs.

Barry hyam and Chris Swainland made a steady start taking Park to 50 without loss at tea. Swainland went straight after tea for 26 dismissed by Ferns. Hyam went next also to Ferns for 37 leaving Park on 73-2. Churchill and Collard 81 before Ferns bowled Churchill for 35. Ferns continued his fine spell also bowling Collard for 48. With the run rate increasing Parks batsmen came under increasing pressure as the runs became harder to come by. Shah was stumped for 24. Matt Sutton and Jason Toogood produced a needed partnership of 25 as the rate seemed to be getting out of the reach, but good running and some lusty blows just about kept the result manageable. Sutton was run out and with 14 needed from the last over it was left upto Danny Rees and Jason Toogood. Two singles from the first 2 balls from Micheal Clarke. No runs off the third. Then Clark served up a big full toss which was sent into the car park for 6 by Rees. With 6 needed of 2 balls Clark sent the 5th ball down the leg side meaning Park needed 6 off the last ball. Clark put the ball right in the slot and Rees dispatched it high over the sightscreen for an amazing win which should have been easier but would not have been half as exciting or memoriable!
