Match report A poor batting performance saw all Parks hard work in the first innings count for nothing.
Bowling out Wickford on a good wicket and their best fielding performance of the season so far was just the confidence boost Park needed after last weeks defeat against Ilford. Chris Hendriks 4-53 Andy Churchill 2-36 and Russ Collard 2-45 were the main wicket takers with Baber Choudhary bowling a fine spell also claiming his first wcket for the club. Wickford were bowled out for 218 in 60 overs.
Jaheed Ahmed destroyed Park with 6-46 in a superb spell of fast bowling. Park looked in control at 100-2 but with Naveed claiming the wickets of Hyam 17 and Andy Churchil 44 the cards fell down with the next 8 wickets falling for 71 runs. Only Jason Toogood 24 and Baber Choudhary 16 not out showed any resistance to Ahmeds onslaught.
Park finally all out for 171 with 11 overs still remaining losing by 48 runs.
