Match report Park won the toss and asked Brentwood to bat first. With a steady opening partnership and a slow flat wicket Brentwood put on 65 for the first wicket before Collard had Ben Debenham caught at first slip for 11. Jon Walford completed a fine 55 before Churchill bowled him after a stand of 29 with Ayres. Bad deliveries were harshly treated as Danien Brandy and Ayres compiled a partnership of 180. Phil Goldstone was unlucky not to have Ayres caught behind for 0 and so Park paid the price as he went on to add 89 before Sammons returned to have him well caught on the deep mid wicket boundary by Alan Croft.Sammons also claimed the wicket of Brandy who was well caught by Mike Allen at backward point for a fine 93.Brentwood finally declared on 296-4 from 64 overs.

With 56 overs to bat and needing just over 5 and a half an over from the first ball Park were always up against it as tight bowling and a dramatic change in the conditions of the wicket saw runs unbelievably hard to come by. Park lost Kliber bowled for 4 by Fyrd and the introduction early of 2 class spinners saw the wicket turn and bounce with alarm and inconsistency. Swainland stumped for 23 off Belchamber and Churchill bowled for 32 for inspirational Brandy saw any remote chance of a tight finish eliminated. Mike Allen and Greg Chuchill fought valiantly to hold of Brentwoods push for victory before both were dismissed within 2 overs of each other both falling to the class bowling of Sutherland. Rudi Filmalter bought some enjoyment and fun to the game with some fantastic clean striking finally falling for 41 off 22 balls caught at long off. Jason Toogood added an accomplished 16 before being caught at mid wicket again off Brandy. Russ Collard and Phil Goldstone saw Park home to a draw finishing on 170-7
