Match report Park won the toss and batted first, losing Ian Greenwood early on when caught off one that bounced. Mughir Quereshi mad a positive impression against some accurate opening bowling, and alongside the steady Sampath Gmvasam took the score to 36 before being bowled. Sampath and Connor Donnelly then addd 70 and built a strong base before the former departed for 34. Graham Poultney (making his debut) and Connor addd 90 as the bowlers tired, Conor making an excellent and well paced 73 (9 fours) and Graham 38 (3 fours and one six), with a brief flurry at the end from George Rogers. A final score of 217 off 48 overs gave Leigh 4ths about 47 overs reply, but the innings never really got started as Rahim Ali Khan dismissed the dangerous Vic Hewitt with a rising delivery in a fine opening spell. The early introduction of Ian Greenwood's spin kept up the pressure and Connor donnelly benefited with three wickets and I aan one as the innings subsided to 46 for 6 having been 30 for 1. A first spell for the club by Sanjay Panwar produced four clean bolweds ans the final score of 68 off 39.2 overs represented great return by Park in taking maximum points with 8 overs left of the last hour. Rahim took 1 for 14, Connor 3 for 24 to complete a good all round match for him, Ian 1 for 9 and Sanjay 4 for 11. Callum Poultney took three catches behind the stumps and Rahim combined with Callum for a smart run out. All in all a well playd game by both sides played in excellent spirit.
